The MEDIF Exhibition of Dalmatian Exiles from Istria and Fiume, the result of an agreement between FederEsuli and the ViVe Institute (Vittoriano and Palazzo Venezia) under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, has surpassed 250.00 visitors. 2026 "Dr. Geppino Micheletti" Award Ceremony
Thirty-two stories of dedication to the medical profession from across Italy. Passion, generosity, and a calling to altruism far beyond the bounds of the Hippocratic Oath. Just like Geppino Micheletti, the Trieste surgeon (1905-1961) who, on Sunday, August 18, 1946, operated for over 24 hours on the wounded who were arriving continuously at the Sartorio Hospital in Pula from the nearby Vergarolla beach, where a cache of defused mines had been detonated, causing carnage among the families who were watching the Scarioni Cup swimming competitions while awaiting the evening celebration that would celebrate the 60th anniversary.
The Istrian anthology of the “Favelà” literary prize
The historic Palazzo Bradamante in Dignano hosted one of the local community's most vibrant traditions. The anthology of the "Favelà" literary prize was presented on the evening of Saturday, July 25th. This volume encompasses the prize's output from 2003 to 2022 and celebrates the first twenty years of an event created to preserve the ancient Romance dialect. Concert for the 130th anniversary of the Tartini monument in Piran
An important anniversary is approaching for the town of Piran and the Italian community named after violinist and composer Giuseppe Tartini. He is the focus of the celebrations planned for this weekend, when, on Sunday, August 2nd, the 130th anniversary of the unveiling of the monument, created by sculptor Antonio Dal Zotto, which the people of Piran dedicated to him, will be marked. The central event is scheduled for 9:00 pm in Tartini Square, where a celebratory concert will be held. Fiume literature enters the Trieste Literature Museum
Rijeka literature officially joins the collection of LETS – Trieste's Literature Museum. Yesterday morning, the complete collection of five bilingual boxed sets, produced by the Association of Rijeka Italians in the World in collaboration with the Italian Community of Rijeka and the Department of Italian Studies at the University of Rijeka, as part of the "Cultural Return to Rijeka" project, was handed over to director Riccardo Cepach, with the support of the Municipality of Trieste – Department of Museums. "Route 230° Return to the Land of the Fathers" at the Italian Film Festival
The documentary film "Rotta 230° Ritorno alla terra dei padri" (Directed by Igor Biddau) will be screened in the Documentary section of the Italian Film Festival - Le Stelle d'Argento on Tuesday, July 28th at 17:45 PM in Screen 2 of the Nuovo Cinema Caporali in Piazzetta San Domenico in Castiglione del Lago (PG).
