Third edition of the Train of Remembrance
As part of the activities promoted by the Coordination Committee for Remembrance Day established by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Minister for Sport and Youth, Andrea Abodi, has promoted the third edition of "The Train of Remembrance." Mursia publishes "Fiume, addio!" by Marino Micich
Drawing on research begun in 1998 by the Society of Rijeka Studies in collaboration with the Croatian Institute for History in Zagreb, Marino Micich reconstructs the fate of Rijeka's Italian population from World War II to the mass exodus of approximately 300.000 Italians from the Julian, Rijeka, and Dalmatian lands. The book retraces events from 1940 to 1954: the Yugoslav military occupation in 1945, the harsh repression of the new communist regime, the violence endured, and the slow disappearance of Italian identity in the city of Rijeka and the surrounding Istrian lands. Diego Redivo, historian of Adriatic Italianity, has passed away.
The National League lowers its banner to pay its last respectful farewell to Professor Diego Redivo, leader of the Association, coordinator of the educational service at the Foiba Memorial in Basovizza and the Civic Museum of the Risorgimento, president of the Fiume branch of the National League, director of the Aurisina National League Sports Club, and a basketball enthusiast. In December, he finished writing his final work, "Of Dante and Other Poets: Influencers of the Past and the National League," which will soon be presented to the public at an upcoming event to commemorate him as a researcher, an intellectual, and a friend.

“Tanto lontana terra” a musical painting dedicated to the Exodus
"Tanto Lontana Terra" is a dramatic musical composition composed of 16 pieces in which the alternation between spoken and sung voice is punctuated by silences and bursts of sound performed by a string quartet (two violins, viola, and cello) and piano. The composition by Trieste-born Maestro Marco Podda—a musician, conductor, and composer with an international career—was successfully premiered in 2023. The Treaty of Osimo (November 10, 1975) is the focus of the volume "Osimo in the Press," edited by Eufemia Giuliana Budicin and published as part of a project developed by the Rome Committee of the National Association of Venezia Giulia and Dalmatia. The Risiera di San Sabba in Trieste
The Risiera di San Sabba in Trieste was the only Nazi concentration camp in Italy equipped with a crematorium. It functioned as a "mixed" camp, that is, a collection center for the deportation of Jews to Auschwitz and other extermination camps. Therefore, it served primarily as a transit camp, but it also functioned as a detention and police camp for the imprisonment, torture, and elimination of Resistance fighters, captured partisans, and civilian hostages. For this latter purpose, the camp was also equipped with a crematorium for the incineration of the victims' bodies, obtained by converting the previous facility.
