The fiction that Rai 1 broadcast "The Walker: The True Story of Abdon Pamich" premiered in prime time on February 10th. took inspiration from the book that Pamich himself had previously written together with Roberto Covaz for the Biblioteca dell'Immagine publishing house, Memoirs of a walker.

Building on this work, the Padua Provincial Committee of the National Association of Venezia Giulia and Dalmatia, in collaboration with the Association of Italian Fiumani in the World and under the patronage of the Municipality of Padua, organized the meeting "Face to Face with Abdon Pamich the Walker" on Friday, March 27th, in the Sala Paladin of Palazzo Moroni.

Dario Zaccariotto, son of Istrian exiles, spoke with Pamich (a Rijeka exile, Olympic walking champion, and member of the Rijeka Studies Society). The two protagonists of the evening were also torchbearers for the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, and the passing of the Olympic torch from Pamich to Zaccariotto also signified the transmission of a story that is finally in the public domain and a testimony of the exodus.
