Lombardy Regional School Competition on Foibe and Exodus

NOTICE OF THE REGIONAL COMPETITION FOR STUDENTS OF MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOLS OF LOMBARDY PURSUANT TO ART. 3 OF LRN 2 OF 14 FEBRUARY 2008.

COMPETITION NOTICE

ARTICLE 1 Object
Pursuant to art. 3 of the regional law of 14 February 2008, n. 2 “Activities of the Lombardy Region for the affirmation of the values ​​of the memory of the martyrdom and the Julian-Dalmatian-Istrian exodus”, the Office of the Presidency of the Regional Council of Lombardy announces the XIII edition of the competition called “The sacrifice of the Italians of Venezia Giulia and Dalmatia: maintaining the memory, respecting the truth, committing to guarantee the rights of the peoples”. For the 2020/2021 school year, the theme of the competition is: “Foibe and Julian-Dalmatian exodus: history and memory of 10 February”

ARTICLE 2 Participation
Participation in the competition is open to all students of secondary and high schools in Lombardy. Participation can be individual (the result of the work of a single student) or group (one or more groups within a class, entire class or consortium classes composed of no more than 35 students). Participation in other competitions with a similar subject even with the same works is not an obstacle to participation in the competition. The total number of students proclaimed winners cannot exceed forty.

ARTICLE 3 Admitted papers
Any type of work produced in the current school year in any form (theme, research, commercial, music, song, poetry, drawing, poster, banner, website, musical, short film, etc.) is admitted to the competition, provided it is original and relevant to the theme. In any case, the works must be presented in one of the following formats: – Paper support; – Computer support (cd-rom, DVD, USB stick, etc.); – Video (the most common digital formats)

ARTICLE 4 Terms and conditions for submitting works
The documents must be sent by registered mail or certified email to the address: protocollo.generale@pec.consiglio.regione.lombardia.it or delivered by hand no later than 12.00:20 on 2021 January 12 to: General Protocol of the Regional Council of Lombardy: Via Pirelli, 20124 – 9,00 Milan Opening hours to the public: – Monday to Thursday: 12,00/14,00 – 16,30/9,00 – Friday: 12,00/41 Notices and Competitions Series no. 07 – Wednesday 2020 October 12 – 14 – Official Bulletin The packages must specify on the outside: “Competition pursuant to LR 2008 FEBRUARY 2, no. XNUMX. Lower or upper secondary school Individual work or Class/group work” The works must be accompanied, in a sealed envelope, by a form signed by the coordinating teacher and the author(s) if of age, containing: • name and surname of the author(s), or precise indication of the class with the names of the students; • exact name, complete address, email and telephone number of the school; • name and surname of the teacher(s) coordinating the works, and their telephone number; • release for use of the work by the Regional Council of Lombardy and the National Association of Venezia Giulia and Dalmatia (ANVGD). Each package must contain only one work.

ARTICLE 5 Commission

ARTICLE 6 Rankings
The Commission will examine and evaluate the papers, forming three rankings: 1) group/class papers; 2) individual papers from lower secondary schools; 3) individual papers from upper secondary schools. The Commission's decision is final and final.

ARTICLE 7 Award Ceremony
The winners will be announced on February 10, “Remembrance Day”, or in the days immediately preceding or following. The authors of the best individual and group works, no more than forty, and their companions, will participate in a three-day educational trip (two nights' accommodation) in the lands of Venezia Giulia, according to an itinerary that includes a visit to the Redipuglia Shrine and the Basovizza Foiba National Monument. The educational trip will take place in the period March-June 2021 on a date to be agreed with the winning schools.

ARTICLE 8 Publication of works
The Regional Council of Lombardy and the ANVGD reserve the right to exhibit and/or publish and disseminate all or part of the works presented without owing anything to the competitors, respecting the authorship of the works and undertaking to cite the authors. The works will remain the property of the Regional Council of Lombardy which will dispose of them freely for the uses and according to the methods subsequently defined by the same. This announcement is published in the Official Bulletin of the Lombardy Region and on the website of the Regional Council (www.consiglio.regione.lombardia.it) and transmitted to the Regional School Office of Lombardy for distribution to the schools of the provinces of Lombardy.
