From Isola d'Istria to discover the places of Dante
Ten years have passed since a prestigious facsimile edition published at the instigation of the late Silvano Sau brought back to the headlines two precious Dante codices from the late fourteenth century copied in Isola, then a town of the Serenissima: a story that tells us about the ancient cultural traditions of Istria and the centuries-old popularity and diffusion of Dante's poem.
Since then, Isola has had no shortage of initiatives aimed at valorising this ideal legacy.
And now there is also an Interreg project, “Dante”, of which the Municipality of Isola d’Istria is the leader, which aims to promote the figure of the poet through the creation of literary paths working together with Italian and Slovenian partners. […]
