Forced to leave Dalmatia at the age of 18 with his father Elio and his entire family because of their patriotic ideals, the exile Fulvio Bracco became a captain of Italian industry and a great patron of the arts in Milan.

This year, the Bracco Group is celebrating its 95th anniversary. As part of the initiatives to mark this milestone, an event will be organized on Tuesday, June 21st at 6:00 PM in collaboration with the National Association of Venezia Giulia and Dalmatia (ANVGD). The event will be streamed live on the Bracco Foundation's channels and will be entirely dedicated to Fulvio Bracco , Diana's father, and the current President and CEO of the family Group.

Successful entrepreneur and patron of the arts, Fulvio Bracco, born in Neresine, Istria, in 1909, profoundly influenced the development of the city of Milan and the Italian chemical industry. Today, at a time when Europe is once again experiencing the tragedy of war, his testimony is more relevant than ever and offers many lessons to young people. Indeed, Bracco is part of that generation of industrial pioneers, such as Pirelli, Falck, Ferrero, Agnelli, Barilla, and so on, capable—between the two world wars—of rebuilding the economic and social fabric from the rubble and propelling Italy into modernity and the age of prosperity.

Fulvio Bracco was a forerunner not only in industry and research, but also in the field of corporate social responsibility. In 1953, for example, he established scholarships for young people that he named after his mother Nina Salata, sister of Senator Francesco Salata, a distinguished historian and staunch defender of the Italianness of Venezia Giulia who played a significant role in the irredentist struggles of the early twentieth century.

The meeting on June 21st, entitled “ From Neresine to Milan – Fulvio Bracco’s Enterprise ” will be opened by Renzo Codarin , National President of the National Association of Venezia Giulia and Dalmatia, and by Giuseppe de Vergottini , President of the Federation of Associations of Istrian, Fiume and Dalmatian Exiles.

Representing the institutions will be Tommaso Sacchi , Councilor for Culture of the City of Milan, Stefano Bruno Galli , Councilor for Culture and Local Authorities of the Lombardy Region, and Tiziana Gibelli , Councilor for Culture and Sport of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region. Both regions sponsored the initiative, which follows the meeting organized last March for Ottavio Missoni as part of the City's "Milan is Memory" project. These initiatives are promoted with the aim of reminding citizens of the personal and entrepreneurial journeys of figures who have profoundly influenced the development of Milan.

The event on June 21st, held at the Teatrino di Fondazione Bracco, will be moderated by journalist Matteo Carnieletto , who, together with videomaker Simone Pontini, will recount significant moments in the life of the great pharmaceutical entrepreneur through documents, photographs, and the testimony of his daughter Diana Bracco [in the opening photo with her father at the entrance to the Lambrate headquarters, Editor's note]. Other valuable contributions and testimonials on the program include journalist Anna Maria Mori , Trieste professor Davide Rossi , Professor Alberto Santa Maria , Founding Shareholder of the Greenberg Traurig Santa Maria studio, and Giorgio Porta , former President of Federchimica.
