A delegation of AFIM, the Association of Italian Fiumani in the World, composed of President Franco Papetti, Vice President Andor Brakus and the Director of the periodical “La Voce di Fiume”, Rosanna Turcinovich Giuricin, was received in Capodistria by the President of the Italian Union, Maurizio Tremul. The AFIM delegation visited the Multimedia Center of the Italian Union, which is destined to become, as Tremul underlined, “an important point of reference for the knowledge and diffusion of the common history".

"AFIM is committed to informing the population of the Istrian-Kvarner area and the Italian population about the great cultural heritage of Rijeka.” President Papetti noted, through bilingual publications, Italian and Croatian, cultural activities open to all. “Good practice - he added - which is useful to make sprout also in other realities of the two Communities". "There are grounds for strengthening and extending collaboration and joint planning” reads a press release issued by the Italian Union, starting from the collaboration protocol signed between UI and FederEsuli.
