FederEsuli participates in the Friendship Race in Pula
An evening run through the Roman ruins of Pula, a journey into the history of what was founded as Pietas Julia and is still famous today for the Arena, its sixth-largest amphitheater in the world. And, as usual, this colossal setting will represent the finish line of the various sections that make up the eighth edition of the Pula Marathon, which will take place on Saturday, September 19. The half marathon (21 kilometers) will start at 19:50 PM, the 10 km race (Pula X Race) will start at 20:10 PM, and the 5,99 km Friendship Race will begin at 20:00 PM. The Italian Union and the Italian Community of Pula, together with FederEsuli, and under the auspices of the Italian Embassy in Zagreb, are promoting the Friendship Race as a moment of aggregation and sharing, in which Italian athletes belonging to the indigenous Istrian community or who have traveled for the occasion will compete wearing tricolor badges to demonstrate their belonging. A moment of sport and revitalization of history, an event celebrating identity to unite Italians from both sides of the Adriatic Sea, a competition where the creation of a community spirit and mutual understanding are at stake. FederEsuli will cover the registration fees of the first participants from Italy who write to: segreteria@federesuli.it
A historic setting, the evocative atmosphere of the sunset, and an original sporting event: we look forward to seeing you at the Pula Marathon!
