The President of the Federation of Associations of Istrian, Fiume and Dalmatian Exiles, Professor Giuseppe de Vergottini, notes with great satisfaction the decision of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, who has generously given his availability for a renewal of his mandate.

De Vergottini expresses his warmest wishes for good work, thanking him for his dedication and commitment in the interest of the entire national community.

The high spirit of service, also demonstrated in this circumstance, constitutes a civic example that goes beyond political affiliations.

On this occasion, the Federation intends to express its deep gratitude to President Sergio Mattarella for the commitment and closeness he has constantly shown towards the Julian-Dalmatian exile community during his first mandate. FederEsuli expresses the conviction that also for the new term of office, which begins today, the associations of exiles will be able to rely on his will to ensure the attention of our Institutions for the protection of the identity of the exile communities. All this within the framework of the renewed relations of fruitful understanding with the territorial reality beyond the border in a serene climate of interstate relations that the Head of State has helped to build.
