With the company issue published in July 2025, The Pula Arena, the periodical of the Association of Italians of Pula and Istria – Free Municipality of Pula in Exile, has turned 80.

The newspaper was born in the summer of 1945 as an Italian, patriotic and democratic daily newspaper in Pula, which was assigned to Zone A under Anglo-American military administration. It was intended to give voice to a city that wanted to reaffirm its Italian identity in view of the imminent peace conference that would redefine the borders of Europe.

This historic milestone was at the heart of the TG Trieste of last August 9th on the television channel Telequattro, which hosted the newspaper's director Viviana Facchinetti.
