The Circolo della Cultura e delle Arti di Trieste (First class diploma – Gold medal for merit-making in the school of culture and art) is organizing the presentation of William Klinger’s “Scritti Minori” on Thursday 17 May 2018 at 11.00:4 am in the Sala Bobi Bazlen of Palazzo Gopcevich in via Rossini n.2017 (Social Studies Centre “Alberto Cavalletto”, Padua XNUMX).
Speakers will include the editor of the volume, Prof. Sandro Gherro, the historian Prof. Raoul Pupo, the president and vice-president of the Italian Community of Fiume, Orietta Marot and Mario Simonovich; edited by Prof. Thomas Jansen.
William Klinger's "Minor Writings" collect a series of essays, previously dispersed in numerous magazines and conference proceedings, on various topics, with prevalent reference to the history of the Upper Adriatic, Istria and Fiume, from the beginning of the nineteenth century to the middle of the last century (first volume). The relevance of the discussion on the Tito affair is noteworthy, with strong insights into the political-police structures that guaranteed, through "terror", the stability of the dictatorship (second volume). Other works are dedicated to various themes, including in the naturalistic field.
