Today, Saturday 6 February, it is on newsstands with the newspaper “Infoibate Truths – The Victims, the Executioners, the Silences of Politics”. A historical essay on the darkest page of communism in Italy. Written by two journalists of great pen and great honor (Fausto Biloslavo and Matteo Carnieletto) and presented by another great Italian journalist: Toni Capuozzo.
Well, an operation of truth against silence, ambiguity and, again, seventy years after facts of unimaginable inhumanity, the post-communist lie and the suffragettes who are there on TV directing the traffic of homologation, is censored. By whom? By the tool that boasts of electing the freedom of expression of individuals to a planetary algorithm. Facebook.
Biloslavo writes to me: «Facebook, the politically correct Big Brother, has refused to promote this video with the voice of Toni Capuozzo. If you want, go to my page to comment or share the post and the video, demonstrating that Big Brother's algorithms cannot stop the memory of the tragedy of the foibe and the drama of the exodus».
Of course, somewhere they have linked “fascists” to “foibe”. And hired an algorithm to reject that term. Just as “sovereignist” must be algorithmically classified as “imminent threat, prepare the editorials, if Draghi does not form the government it will be the end of the world, if the people vote and not the financial markets we are done for, democracy is now only for the gullible or the poor people of series C”.
And anyway. We can imagine what must have happened in American social media during the heroic presidential elections. Sexist racist fascist, supremacist, shaman.
You understand on which side fascism is asleep or already roaring. Sweet as a #MeToo parade, come to liquidate the past of who the hell they decide to liquidate. Or impersonal power that takes away your speech with an algorithm and you don't know who to blame. Therefore, today, we will take the democratic and anti-fascist luxury of going to the newsstand and buying the newspaper with the essay on the foibe. And “ciao, bella ciao”, the new resistance is us. And you are the Savianos.
