The Voice of the People Ci Fiume Afim Mostra Pretich

The Fiume "pretich" symbolically return home

A day long-awaited for nearly eighty years, it brought back to Rijeka the memory of Archbishop Ugo Camozzo, the last Italian bishop of Rijeka, and of the 26 "pretich," priests and seminarians who followed him into exile from the capital of Carnaro to Pisa, where he was appointed archbishop in 1948.
A conference, an exhibition and a concert of the Musical Chapel of the Cathedral of Pisa, organized on the initiative of theAssociation of Italian Fiumani in the World in collaboration with the Italian Community of Fiume and the Diocese of Fiume, who with dignity and serenity remembered one of the lesser-known pages of the Exodus.
Also taking part in the events was the illustrious theologian Severino Dianich, originally from Fiume, one of the 26 "pretich" who followed Msgr. Camozzo to Tuscany.
The conference, exhibition and concert took place at Palazzo Modello and St. Vitus Cathedral between March 14 and 15.
