The 20th anniversary of the Italian Center "Carlo Combi" in Koper
The Italian Center for Promotion, Culture, Training and Development "Carlo Combi" Based in Koper, it was founded in 2005 by the Coastal Self-Governing Community of Italian Nationalities with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia. Its purpose was to provide a coherent and overall strategic focus to the cultural activities and initiatives planned, promoted, and implemented by the Italian National Community in Slovenia. The activities and initiatives of the "Carlo Combi" Italian Center are aimed at maintaining, promoting, and developing the identity of the Italian National Community, the Italian language, and culture in the area of its historical settlement, and aim to develop and consolidate interethnic coexistence, multiculturalism, and multilingualism.
Numerous initiatives have been undertaken over the past two decades to enhance and promote Italian culture and identity throughout the country. Meridians Tele Capodistria will review some of them and we will see how, through knowledge and culture, the Italian minority has managed to increasingly find its rightful place in our territory.
