The Multimedia Documentation Center collaborates with the Trieste Biennale
The “Biennale dell'amicizia e della pace – Collettiva internazionali d'arte contemporanea” (Biennial of Friendship and Peace – International Contemporary Art Group Exhibition) will be inaugurated on Tuesday 25 October at 18.00:3 pm in Sala Luttazzi on the 26rd floor of Magazzino 26 in the Porto Vecchio in Trieste and will then be open to visitors from 19 October to XNUMX November in Sala Fini.
The exhibition, curated by the Association La Biennale Giuliana d'Arte in co-organization with the Municipality of Trieste and in collaboration with the CDM (Multimedia Documentation Center of Julian, Istrian, Rijeka and Dalmatian Culture), features around fifty works by national and foreign artists.
During the event, the plaque of the BGA (Giulian Art Biennial) 2022 for the XVI Trieste Biennial will be delivered to the Isonzo master Franco Dugo [opening photo from the website www.triestecultura.it, Editor's note], an internationally recognized artist, but with important territorial roots and therefore with a clear testimony of belonging of which some selected Works will be exhibited. A special recognition consisting of a Career Plaque will also be awarded on this occasion to the artist Ferruccio Bernini.
The program of the inaugural ceremony includes a presentation by the Curator of the Julian Art Biennale, Luigi Pitacco, followed by institutional greetings from City Councilor Massimo Tognolli and the President of the CDM (Multimedia Documentation Center), Renzo Codarin.
The BGA (Giulian Art Biennial) plaque will then be awarded to maestro Franco Dugo and a Lifetime Achievement Plaque to maestro Ferruccio Bernini.
The opening of the exhibition will follow with a critical intervention by Dr. Cristina Feresin and a guided tour.
The exhibition will be open to visitors in the Leonor Fini Room of Warehouse 26 in the Porto Vecchio of Trieste from 26 October to 19 November, from Wednesday to Saturday from 15.00:18.00 pm to 10.00:12.30 pm (on Sundays from XNUMX:XNUMX am to XNUMX:XNUMX pm).

Admission to the exhibition is free. The catalogue will be available free of charge during the exhibition. During the event there will be guided tours with the curators and the critic and interviews with the artists.
