The DVD of the documentary film “Vola Colomba, Trieste 1954”, directed by Renzo Carbonera, in collaboration with Rai Documentari and the National Association of Venezia Giulia and Dalmazia, is available.

the documentary film retraces the long and tortuous path of Trieste's reunion with its motherland. Above all, the presence of the Anglo-Americans, who administered the city for 9 years (from 1945 to 1954), after the horrors experienced by the people of Trieste during the 40 days of Tito's occupation.

An exceptional testimonial – the journalist Toni Capuozzo – accompanies the viewer to the places and events of the time, through the story of post-war Italian and Trieste society and culture.

All enriched and supported by the testimony of the historian Paolo Mieli and the participation of the famous journalist Bruno Pizzul.

Also noteworthy is the participation of Italia Giacca, an Istrian exile who fled her homeland to find refuge in Trieste.
