The Le due Rive seminar will take place in Rovinj and Dignano
March 17, 2026 – Following the remarkable success of the previous “The Two Shores” seminars, which took place on April 18-19, 2023, in Pula and Piran, on April 11-12, 2024, in Buje and Koper, on October 15-16, 2024, in Mestre and Venice, on April 10-11, 2025, in Rijeka, and the study day held in Gorizia on October 16, 2025, a seminar is proposed in Rovinj and Vodnjan from April 20-22, 2026.
Previous seminars were attended by a significant number of teachers from schools in the Veneto and Istria regions, who highlighted the need to further explore the topics covered, aimed at designing joint educational programs and organizing twinning programs between Veneto and Istrian schools.
The "Le due Rive" study seminar is aimed at teachers from the Veneto region and teachers from the Italian minority in Slovenia and Croatia. It is an important opportunity to compare two communities with the same cultural roots, separated by the dramatic events on the eastern border at the end of the Second World War.
The seminar is organized by the National Association of Venezia Giulia and Dalmatia and the Italian Union, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Merit, the Veneto Regional School Office, and the Veneto Region.
