Everything is ready for the event that wants to encompass the interest and the will to build concrete projects in Fertilia, in that village that was born as a Foundation City and that has all the credentials to grow its urban aspect by focusing on innovation and young people.

The opening day will focus on this, on the work that the Department of Architecture of the University of Sassari will carry out together with the professionals and scholarship holders who will illustrate to those present at the morning conference on Friday 20 September. They will not be simple interventions that retrace the original redevelopment project: Fertilia has too important a history to ignore its birth and its experience. Fertilia is the meeting of peoples who have merged culture, traditions, souls and stories into a single community: on this humanistic aspect and on the search for its social connotation Fertilia builds the vocation of an inclusive city, open to change and ready to build a shared and participatory project on itself. And above all: Fertilia is not a village in which to insert local services but a well-placed reality that needs to find its centrality.

This concept will be reinforced in the afternoon debate “Fertilia and the territory: tools, innovation and perspectives” where the authorities and politics, as well as the professionals involved in the project, will communicate to the public, outlining all the possible scenarios, which must not remain on paper. It will also be an opportunity to focus on the tools identified, on the real operational possibilities, and on the economic resources available so that urban regeneration can become real.

The evening will continue with speeches by illustrious guests in the panel “Sulle rotte del leone”, who will act as spokespersons for the deep identity bond between Sardinia, Istria and Triveneto.

The closing performance on the stage set up in Piazza San Marco by the musical groups Coro Sacro Cuore di Gesù and San Marco di Fertilia, Coro Baratz di Alghero, Polyphonic Choir of Santa Cecilia di Arborea, Folklore Group of the Italian Community of Dignano and the band Caffè Havana Sambuca e Lambrusco di Ferrara.
