Rowing, amid wars, border changes, and the relationship with the sea, was the theme of the conference "Sport and Rowing between War and Peace in Koper," held Thursday as part of the "Incontri in Contrada" series dedicated to the maritime world, organized by the Humanistic Society "Histria."

Franco Stener, a publicist and expert on the area's historical heritage, was invited to speak. Dean Krmac, on behalf of the promoters, introduced the evening, greeting the audience and, in particular, a special guest: Mario Fonda, son of Renato Fonda, the last president of "Libertas."
