Why literature? Because it preserves what documents cannot: emotion, doubt, the tone of a sentence spoken for the last time in dialect. It transmits history to new generations without turning it into a date to be memorized. It turns it into experience. Looking to the future of the Adriatic border therefore means reckoning with memory. Not to remain stuck in pain, but to build bridges.
