Faced with wars and massacres justified by the idolatry of power and a God "enlisted" to kill innocents, Pope Leo addressed those in the world who desire, pray for, and build peace. He did so on April 11, 2026, during the Vigil convened to call for an end to conflicts.

The words of the Pontiff, who has made peace the center of his teaching, are clear: war has diabolical roots, and every "God is with us" must be rejected. God is not with those who massacre civilians, but with those who suffer and die beneath the rubble.

This is not a spiritualist escape: Leo XIV recalls everyone's responsibility to build peace, encounter, and friendship, and invites us to believe "in love, moderation, and good politics." A politics that uses dialogue and negotiation to achieve lasting truces and peace agreements.
