The Life of Gabriele d'Annunzio on Rai 3 and Rai Play
An event not to be missed, a show in a special location. From Ship Puglia of the Vittoriale degli Italiani, Edoardo Sylos Labini, accompanied by the music of Sergio Colicchio, will lead the viewer on a journey to discover one of the most fascinating characters in Italian history and literature: Gabriele d'Annunzio.
The show, taken from the Rai Cultura programme Inimitable, will be an original adaptation of the play written by Sylos Labini with Angelo Crespi on tour for a year throughout Italy. The event produced by Rai Digital and Transmedia Contents, strongly desired by the director Marcello Ciannamea, will be broadcast live on Rai Play and Friday, September 12th at 23.15:3 PM on Rai XNUMX. Performing theater on television is always a huge challenge, but these experiments have been very successful on RAI recently. The broadcast date was also no coincidence: the anniversary of the Fiume Enterprise. In fact the September 12th Part 1919 D'Annunzio, with a small army of volunteers, occupied the city of Fiume, which wanted to be Italian but was threatened with falling under Yugoslavian rule.
A revolutionary chapter in our history that's often overlooked and untold. The Roman actor and host will lead the audience through it. to the discovery of the life of the Poet, retracing his rise, from the Roman period, when he was very young and fought for success, up to the last years in which he erected a monument to himself at the Vittoriale. There is space for his love affairs, those with his wife Maria Hardouin and the tormented one with Eleonora Duse, for politics with the relationship between the Poet and the Duce and in particular for literature and poetry, from "Il piacere" to "La pioggia nel pineto", up to the correspondence with Eleonora Duse. In short, the feats that made him a hero, the eternal legacy of a man who turned his life into a work of art.
Together with Sylos Labini the inseparable Maestro Sergio Colicchio that play live and accompanies with his music this story which promises to be a unique event in a magical place like the Nave Puglia made even more suggestive thanks to the installation of one of the most important pop artists of the Italian scene, Marco Lodola.
Furthermore from the September 13 Rai Play will broadcast a special to discover the secrets of the Vittoriale degli Italiani with the host, the President Giordano Bruno Guerri who in recent years has relaunched and enhanced the Gardone Riviera villa, making it one of the most beloved cultural sites for tourists from around the world. Interviewed by Ylenia Buonviso, Guerri will trace the personality of the Abruzzese poet, further enriching Sylos Labini's show. So, mark these Italian cultural events on your calendar.
