Dear Friends Readers of L'ARENA DI POLA, dear Members of AIPI-LCPE,
it is a widespread stereotype to pair August – holidays and the night of shooting stars. Unfortunately, there is instead the memory of stars rising in the August sky, which brings us back to two sad anniversaries: the hanging of Nazario Sauro and the Vergarolla massacre, the first major terrorist act suffered in 1946 by the newly formed Italian Republic. We report on it extensively in the Arena issue being distributed.
