“Without Malizia” is the emblematic title of the event organized at the Casa del Cinema in Rome by Bernardo Bedarida and Nello Correale. 

Unseen snapshots and a film review of the sad and enigmatic diva whom Visconti called the most beautiful woman in the universe were presented in a beautiful exhibition at the Casa del Cinema in Rome, curated by Bernardo Bedarida and Nello Correale.

“Without Malizia” is the emblematic title of the event that cites the cult film by Salvatore Samperi that made the diva immortal, born in Pola , where she experienced the tragedy of the exodus which, having become a star by chance, made several generations fall in love with her grace and talent.

An exhibition and nine films enrich the festival that celebrates her and which also enjoys the participation and patronage of the National Association of Venezia Giulia and Dalmatia , which also promoted the initiative with a meeting in which Professor Donatella Schurzel , vice-president of the association, together with Giorgio Gosetti , announced the documentary dedicated to the actress, Senza malizia, still in the making.

The exhibition, created to remember and revive the splendid, dramatic, and unfortunate figure of the sad diva who retired from the scene at the age of fifty, included among the selected titles “Il merlo maschio” by Pasquale Festa Campanile, “Malizia” and “Peccato veniale” by Salvatore Samperi, “Divina Creatura” by Giuseppe Patroni Griffi, “Passione d'amore” by Ettore Scola, “Venere in pelliccia” by Massimo Dallamano, “L'innocente” by Luchino Visconti, “Mio Dio ho sono caduta in basso” by Luigi Comencini, “Sans mobile apparent” by Philippe Labro , all films that are part of the history of cinema.

In addition to the exhibition, the beautiful, unpublished photographs , which recount three moments in the actress's life—her debut, her great success, and her maturity—are also of great importance. They were captured by makeup artist Gilberto Provenghi , who was always by her side, even at the very end. Laura Antonelli was truly a special person; her melancholy smile and restless gaze will forever remain etched in the enigmatic imagination. Her beauty, but above all, her sensitivity and fragility, made her unforgettable, even though, driven by disappointments but strengthened by her inner light, shortly before her death, she said, "I want to be forgotten; we will not."
