Librixia hosts La Bancarella Book Fair of the Eastern Adriatic

It opens its doors tomorrow, Saturday 28 September,  Librixia. Brescia Book Fair: like last year, thanks to the collaboration of the Provincial Delegation of Brescia and the Provincial Committee of Bergamo of the National Association of Venezia Giulia and Dalmatia, the Multimedia Documentation Centre of the Julian, Istrian, Rijeka and Dalmatian Culture will be present with an “away” edition of the Stall. Eastern Adriatic Book Fair.

Until Sunday 6 October, visitors to the exhibition will be able to see the latest editorial releases of the Julian-Dalmatian associations on display: «Last year we came to Librixia for the first time as part of the events of Bergamo-Brescia Italian Capital of Culture, – explains Maria Elena Depetroni, national vice-president of the National Association of Venezia Giulia and Dalmatia and responsible for the book stand that was set up – this year we were welcomed by the organization with open arms: they were very happy to give us space again and there was maximum collaboration in the organization of our events»

In the busy calendar of events there will be three moments in which the ANVGD will present the fruit of its research regarding the Julian-Dalmatian exodus in eastern Lombardy.

On Saturday 5 October at 11:00 in the Council Room at the Paolo Vi Pastoral Centre (via Gezio Calini, 30 – Brescia) the documentary film produced by ANVGD and CDM “Places, stories, memories of the Exodus of Istrians, Fiume and Dalmatians to Bergamo and Brescia” will be presented and screened (directed by Simone Pontini, filmed by Lisa Marchiani and edited by Andrea Torresi).

Double appointment on Sunday 6 October. At 15:30 pm in the Salottino del Libro inside the tensile structure that hosts the book stands in Piazza della Vittoria in Brescia, the CDM and the ANVGD in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Merit present the Meta Liber created by Mazzanti Editori regarding The Adriatic Frontier. The Twentieth Century and the Eastern Border to provide an immersive educational experience starting from the temporary exhibition set up by the Julian-Dalmatian association at M9 – Museo del '900 in Mestre: coordinated by Prof. Depetroni, the editor Andrea Mazzanti, the historian Raoul Pupo and Caterina Spezzano (MIM) will intervene.

At 17:30 pm in the Sala del Camino of Palazzo Martinengo delle Palle (via San Martino della Battaglia, 18 – Brescia) the research supported by ANVGD by Prof. Giovanni Spinelli will be presented After the Exodus. From Refugees to Citizens. The Process of Integration of Julians and Dalmatians in Italy in the Second Half of the Twentieth Century Through the Events of Brescia: the author will meet with Prof. Pupo and the journalist Valerio Di Donato.
