In the framework of Nova Gorica – Gorizia European Capital of Culture, “Identity beyond borders” took place from 8 to 10 May, an important event promoted by the Federation of Associations of Istrian, Rijeka and Dalmatian Exiles (FederEsuli) in collaboration with the National Association of Venezia Giulia and Dalmatia (ANVGD), the Multimedia Documentation Centre of Julian, Istrian, Rijeka and Dalmatian Culture (CDM) and the Italian Union, sponsored by the Municipality of Gorizia.

Three important days full of novelties, the result of an unprecedented comparison between young people and representatives of the world of the Julian-Dalmatian exodus and the native Italian community in the eastern Adriatic.

The Minister of Labor and Social Policies Marina Elvira Calderone sent a message during the final day's proceedings, in which she referred, among other things, to the Istrian origins of her maternal side of the family.
