The Italian Union promotes the 2026 Music Festival

The Italian Union of Fiume invites the Italian communities to participate in the 2026 Music Festival, an initiative promoted by the Italian Ministry of Culture in collaboration with numerous institutional and cultural partners, which will be held, as usual, next 21nd June.

The invitation from the President of the Italian Union, Maurizio Tremul, sent to the Italian Communities and to the SAC in recent days, was born from a report from the Italian Ambassador in Croatia, HE Paolo Trichilo, which highlighted the opportunities offered by the event also for the entities of the Italian National Community.

The theme chosen for the 2026 edition, "The voice of places", It will be dedicated to choirs. In this context, Italian communities, which as is well known boast a rich choral tradition, are encouraged to promote concerts and musical initiatives, including in collaboration with Italian or local choirs.

Ambassador Paolo Trichilo, who has always been closely involved with the life and activities of the Italian National Community, has offered his support for the candidacy of the Italian Community choirs for inclusion in the event's official program. He emphasized that the joint participation of choirs from Italy represents a particularly desirable solution, without, however, excluding the valorization of specific local communities.

The President of the Italian Union, Maurizio Tremul, therefore invites the interested associations to report by April 10, 2026 the availability of their choirs to organize a concert for June 21st, even through collaborations between several associations.

"This initiative" underlines the President of the Italian Union, "It represents an important opportunity to highlight and promote the musical and cultural heritage of the Italian National Community within the international context of the Music Festival."
