La Bancarella. Salone del libro dell'Adriatico orientale is an event that the Multimedia Documentation Center of Julian, Istrian, Rijeka and Dalmatian culture is increasingly taking outside its original Trieste context, receiving significant appreciation.

This year, the CDM – La Bancarella stand made its debut at the Turin International Book Fair in spring and is currently present at Librixia. Brescia Book Fair, where it made its debut last year as part of the events of Bergamo-Brescia Italian Capital of Culture 2023. Thanks to the presence and commitment of managers, members and supporters of the Brescia Delegation and the Bergamo Committee of the National Association of Venezia Giulia and Dalmatia, visitors to the event always find someone willing to provide information about the publications on display, to answer questions about the history of the Adriatic border and to present the activities of the associations of Istrian, Fiume and Dalmatian exiles.

Tomorrow, Saturday 5 October, there will be the first CDM event at Librixia 2024: at 11:00 in the Council Room at the Paolo VI Pastoral Centre (via Gezio Calini, 30 – Brescia) the documentary film made by ANVGD and CDM “Places, stories, memories of the Exodus of Istrians, Fiume and Dalmatians to Bergamo and Brescia” will be presented and screened (directed by Simone Pontini, filmed by Lisa Marchiani and edited by Andrea Torresi).
