Norma Cossetto, Porzûs, Vergarolla. Faces and stories of forgotten massacres
Raimo and Montanari permitting, let's return to the denied tragedy of the Italians of Istria, Dalmatia and Venezia Giulia. That only an imbecile can say has anything to do with the Shoah, except that it was an immense tragedy. Of which the foibe are the apex. […]

A nice article by Giampiero Mughini on The paper.
Mughini, remembering the Dalmatian Enzo Bettiza and his book 'Esilio', defends from Montanari, Raimo, Barbero and others the Day of Remembrance and with it the immense tragedy of the Istrian, Rijeka and Dalmatian people, witness of a centuries-old civilization and who at the end of the war were uprooted with every type of violence and abuse from their land.
Yugoslav communism is responsible for this crime against humanity, as are those who minimize and instrumentally justify for political ends the tragedy of the great exodus and the massacres of the foibe.
Interpreting the Day of Remembrance as a fascist law, a law that obtained 505 votes in favor and 14 against, promulgated by the then president Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, cannot and must not be considered as such.
Only those who are tied to the Stalinist or Titoist communist ideology or obsessed with the return of the right can think this.
To these gentlemen, just one sentence: - Let us live in peace and document yourselves. Rest assured, despite your efforts, the Istrians of Fiume and Dalmatia will never disappear and neither will their long and fruitful civilization. As of 2021, there are thousands of exiles still alive in Italy and over 250.000 of their children and over 250.000 of their grandchildren. In Istria today there is an Italian minority of 25.000 people. Abroad, overseas, over 100.000 Julian Dalmatians –
