Awards Ceremony of the 22nd Mailing List Histria Literary Competition in Cittanova
We are pleased to publish the list of winners and the summary of the 22nd Mailing List Histria Literary Competition 2024.
This year we received 177 papers, an increase compared to the previous year and the quality has also improved. We are also comforted that the most significant tracks have been carried out with commitment and excellent results.
The participation in the competition of new schools, especially those with Croatian as the language of instruction, both in Istria and Dalmatia, but also from Montenegro, justifies the hope that both teachers and students will be able to preserve and improve the maintenance of Italian language. Also very encouraging is the participation, with tenacious dedication, of some Italian communities, especially where schools with Italian as the language of instruction have been closed.
The 83 prizes awarded were offered by the Mailing List Histria and the Association of Dalmatian Italians in the World – Free Municipality of Zadar in Exile, the Association of Fiumani Italians in the World – Free Municipality of Fiume in Exile, the Association of Italians of Pula and Istria – Free Municipality of Pula in Exile, the National Association of Venezia Giulia and Dalmatia (Provincial Committees of Gorizia, Rome and Turin), the Association for the Culture of Fiumana, Istrian and Dalmatian Culture in Lazio (in memory of Gianclaudio de Angelini), the Istrian-Venetian Cultural Circle of Trieste, Famìa Ruvignisa, Istarska Županija – Istria Region, the Dante Alighieri Society (Gorizia Committee) and the Italian Union.
