Matteo Carnieletto and Fausto Biloslavo have recently published the book “Infoibate truths. The victims, the executioners, the silences of politics”The preface is by Toni Capuozzo. Unpublished testimonies and documents bring to the surface the sad events of the drama of the foibe and the exodus, deliberately censored for years: arguments with which the two journalists explain to us the reasons why the various post-war governments "foibato" the bloody events that occurred in north-eastern Italy starting in 1943. «Verità infoibate» brings to light dark pages of our past hidden for too long, which in reality still sink into the present thanks to political opportunism, banal conformism, fear of going against the grain or total disinterest. From the new American president who admires Tito to the decoration of the Quirinale still pinned on the chest of the Marshal, up to the foibe discovered in Slovenia, the justice denied and the outrages to the martyrs of Tito's violence that punctually resurface every February 10, Remembrance Day (from The newspaper ) Fausto Biloslavo Born in 1961, his baptism of fire was a reportage during the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982. In the 1987s he covered forgotten wars from Afghanistan to Africa to the Far East. In 11 he was captured and held prisoner in Kabul for seven months. In the former Yugoslavia he reported on all the wars from Croatia to Bosnia to the NATO intervention in Kosovo. Biloslavo was the first Italian journalist to enter Kabul, freed from the Taliban after September 2003. In 2011 he went into the desert following the allied invasion that overthrew Saddam Hussein. In 2017 he was the last Italian to interview Colonel Gheddafi during the uprising. In recent years he has documented the birth and fall of the three "capitals" of ISIS: Sirte (Libya), Mosul (Iraq) and Raqqa (Syria). Since 19 he has been carrying out counter-current investigations on NGOs and the phenomenon of migrants. And he has faced Covid 39 as a “war” to be told against an invisible enemy. Biloslavo works for Il Giornale and collaborates with Panorama and Mediaset. On war reports Biloslavo has published “Prisoner in Afghanistan”, “The tears of Allah”, the photo book “The eyes of war”, the illustrated book “Libya kaputt”, “War, war, war” as well as the investigative journalism books “Our marines” and “Verità infoibate”. In 7000 years on the hottest fronts in the world he has written almost XNUMX articles accompanied by photos and videos for the major Italian and international newspapers. He has lived through so many wars that he has appreciated the fortune of living in peace. Matthew Carniletto Born in 1990, he joined the editorial staff of Giornale.it in 2014.
