On the eve of that September 12th, 107 years ago, the Fiume feat was commemorated. The customary commemorative ceremony, organized by the National League of Trieste and the Municipality of Monfalcone, in collaboration with the Committee for the Historical and Literary Promotion of Gabriele D'Annunzio, took place in front of the monument dedicated to Gabriele D'Annunzio and the legionaries, marking the border between Ronchi dei Legionari and Monfalcone.

Various representatives attended the 6:00 p.m. event: the Gorizia and Monfalcone branches of the National League, Combatant Associations, the Italian Arditi Federation, the National Association of War Volunteers, the Sardinian Grenadiers Association, and associations of Istrian and Dalmatian exiles. Senator Francesca Tubetti was also present.
