Special issue of “La Voce di Fiume”
To commemorate the 55th anniversary of La Voce di Fiume, the editorial staff has created a special supplement for the occasion. The edition features key issues and covers spanning decades of the news outlet, chosen to commemorate an important milestone. It will be distributed on June 15, 2021, the Feast of San Vito, at the meeting in Padua: 10:30 a.m. Gathering in the churchyard of the Basilica of the Saint 11:00 a.m. Holy Mass at the high altar with prayers in Rijeka dialect 13:00 a.m. Convivial lunch at the Officers' Club (€20) Chatter and singing will follow. 55 years of Voice of River
La Voce di Fiume began its journey in 1966, following a decision made on November 14, 1965, the day a group of "lari" (members of the Lari) resolved, on the twentieth anniversary of the painful exodus from Fiume, to proceed with the establishment of the FREE MUNICIPALITY OF FIUME IN EXILE. The promoters were instructed to convene a constituent assembly in the spring of 1966. Some of the signatories include Giuseppe Bilà, Carlo Cattalini, Carlo Cosulich, Diego Corelli, Ferruccio Derencin... A new Museum in Rijeka
A new Museum in Fiume-Rijeka, in step with the European integration process, is inaugurated today, November 14, 2020. The Society of Fiumani Studies, after the international conference on the centenary of the Free State of Fiume in which it took part via teleconference last Thursday, recalls that 2020 marks the thirtieth anniversary of a unique cultural collaboration and dialogue, aimed at strengthening the historical and cultural collaboration with the land of origin.
