To reconstruct events and personalities that determined the cultural climate and the social environment of some centers of Istria and Fiume between the end of the nineteenth century and the first decades of the twentieth century (in the wake of Trieste, the Central European area and even before Venice) it is essential to "pass" by the Cafés, which defined a lifestyle and their specific cultural facies.
