The Italian Union, the Multimedia Documentation Center (CDM) of the Julian, Istrian, Rijeka and Dalmatian culture and the National Association of Venezia Giulia and Dalmatia (ANVGD) met on Friday 23 June in Koper, in order to launch a new joint cultural initiative, within the framework of the excellent relations created also within European projects. A digitized heritage of history of the Adriatic border
The Multimedia Documentation Center of Julian, Istrian, Fiume and Dalmatian Culture in Trieste (CDM) has completed a major digitalization project of books and period documents regarding the history of the Adriatic border. In fact, the Arcipelago Adriatico website features the Historical Books section at https://libri.arcipelagoadriatico.it, which contains over 700 titles, divided into nine sections: Venezia Giulia; Istria; Fiume; Dalmatia; Montenegro; Miscellanea; Music; Magazines, guides, almanacs, yearbooks; Postcards. All these files are freely accessible and can be consulted online or downloaded in PDF format.
The Multimedia Documentation Center collaborates with the Trieste Biennale
The “Biennale dell'amicizia e della pace - Collettiva internazionale d'arte contemporanea” (Biennial of Friendship and Peace - International Contemporary Art Group Exhibition) will be inaugurated on Tuesday 25 October at 18.00:3 pm in Sala Luttazzi on the 26rd floor of Magazzino 26 in the Porto Vecchio in Trieste. On January 14, as we have already reported, the website dalmatitaliani.org was inaugurated, by the Association of Italian Dalmatians in the World – Free Municipality of Zara in Exile (founded in 1963). Franco Giraldi's "Il Carso" Found and Restored
At the Pordenone Docs Fest - Le Voci dell'Inchiesta, preview of the debut work of the Julian director Franco Giraldi Il Carso. Giraldi passed away on December 2, 2020, he lived in a nursing home in Santa Croce, on the Carso. A short film produced by Documento Film and shot on the Trieste Carso during the Christmas holidays of 1959. Considered lost by the director himself, until three years ago.
