The Karst and its sinkholes
The karst, an arid, harsh, barren and stony land, furrowed by the icy gusts of the bora that split its slopes, exacerbates the work of agriculture that the Julian and Istrian peoples have nevertheless been able to exploit, adapting and alternating vineyards and sheep farming field after field.
