Documentary exhibition “San Nazario and Capodistria”

Among the various religious figures (the Blessed Elio, Assalone and Monaldo, the bishop Pier Paolo Vergerio, etc.) who have characterized the history of Capodistria, the figure of the patron saint of the city stands out: Saint Nazarius. He was born in Elpidium (today Boste/Boršt), a town not far from Capodistria, at the end of the 524th century and for about thirty years he was bishop of the city, who mythology says was appointed in 601.
