Francesco Bonifacio, an example of courage and faith
During the presentation of the book Francesco Bonifacio. Vita e martirio di un uomo di Dio (ARES, Milan 2025), held at the headquarters of the Italian Community of Rijeka, author Mario Ravalico and historian and theologian Marko Medved delved into the story of Blessed Francesco Bonifacio, an Istrian priest murdered in Krasica near Grožnjan in 1946 and beatified for being martyred for his hatred of the faith. The meeting, also attended by Archbishop Mate Uzinić of Rijeka, began with a testimony from Gianfranco Bonifacio, the Blessed's nephew, before exploring the book's various chapters: his birth, life, death, and the importance of Francis's story.
