FederEsuli meets the Ambassador in Zagreb and makes an agreement with the Italian Union
After the hearing at the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chamber and the meeting with the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella at the Quirinale, another important institutional meeting took place for the leaders of the Federation of Associations of Istrian, Rijeka and Dalmatian Exiles. At the Italian Cultural Institute in Zagreb in the presence of the Italian Ambassador to Croatia Pierfancesco Sacco, FederEsuli not only held an in-depth conversation with the diplomatic representative, but also signed a Program Agreement for the creation of a cultural network with the Italian Union, a representative body of the native Italian community in the former Yugoslavia....
The thirtieth anniversary of the Italian Union celebrated in Rijeka
Thirty years ago, on July 16, 1991, the Italian Union was born, the unitary Organization of Italians in Slovenia and Croatia, an expression of the democratic and pluralistic will of the Italian component of these lands and of the important renewing effort promoted by our compatriots with the first democratic elections in January of six decades ago. A great moment of awakening and national, social and political redemption of the Italian Community that culminated with the two phases of the Constituent Assembly, in Pola on March 2, and in Fiume on July 16, thirty years ago.
