From Fertilia (Alghero) to Trieste by sea in the name of the exiles of Istria, Fiume and Dalmatia. An extraordinary journey, back in time, one of those capable of bringing back memories that have never been completely erased. We have undertaken an important journey to build a “Bridge” between Fertilia and Trieste and to “Reunite the Threads of our History” and we return enriched and surprised by the warm and affectionate welcome we have received. The Egea project unites Sardinia and the eastern border
On the afternoon of Friday 9 October, the Mayor of Trieste met a delegation from the Egea association - a light on memory, which is carrying out an important project (www.ecomuseoegea.org) dedicated to the memory of the Julian-Dalmatian exodus in Sardinia and the foibe named after Egea Haffner, "the little girl with the suitcase" who has become one of the iconic images of the Exodus.
