The revival of the show based on Stuparich's story will be held in the Bartoli Hall until Sunday. The production by the Teatro Stabile Fvg was met with great success between November and December

The school diary of an eighth-grade gymnasium in Trieste in 1909, an all-boys class where Edda has arrived. The first girl to be able to enroll in that institute, determined to face the final exams and then university studies. Beautiful, restless and free, she inevitably attracts the attention and emotions of her classmates: everyone, sooner or later, falls in love with her. This is the story told by the writer Giani Stuparich in his beautiful story - or short novel - "A Year of School", published in 1929, a portrait of an unrepeatable era of life, which is also a poignant revisitation of Trieste at the beginning of the twentieth century.

A story closely linked to the work of director Alessandro Marinuzzi, who in 1977, when he was very young, took part in the film for Rai made by Franco Giraldi. And who is now curating a theatrical staging of the story, “Quell'anno di scuola”, a production of the Teatro Stabile del Friuli Venezia Giulia that returns to the Sala Bartoli del Rossetti until Sunday after the success of its debut and the first tranche of reruns, between November and December. Marinuzzi, also the author of the adaptation of the text (with Davide Rossi), directs a company of young actors selected from those of the Progetto Teseo of the Stabile del Veneto: a choice that reflects on stage the vein of youthful restlessness and emotion that throbs in the pages of the book. Pages in which the director – in his words – has tried “to also seek the aspiration to the future, the disenchantment, the disillusionment, which are characteristic of that age of life, of the passage to adulthood”.

In conjunction with the resumption of the show, on Friday, at the Ariston Cinema, Franco Giraldi's film "Un anno di scuola" will be screened, followed by a debate on the film and its relationship with the theatrical performance together with Marinuzzi and the actors of the company.
