On the thirtieth anniversary of the passing of Prof. Giuseppe Parlato, former President of the Scientific Committee of the Multimedia Documentation Centre of the Julian, Istrian, Rijeka and Dalmatian culture, the Alleanza Nazionale Foundation and the Secolo d'Italia they organized the conference “History and memory of the Italian right: the legacy of Giuseppe Parlato”.
Radio Radicale has made available to the Ugo Spirito and Renzo De Felice Foundation, which Parlato chaired, the full recording of the event that took place in Rome last July 1st.
Speakers included, among others, the President of the Senate Ignazio La Russa, the Minister of Culture Alessandro Giuli, Senator Maurizio Gasparri, the Vice President of the Lazio Region Roberta Angelilli, the Vice President of the AN Foundation Hon. Antonio Giordano, Senator Roberto Menia, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Merit Paola Frassinetti, the Director of the AN Foundation Francesco Giubilei and the Director of Il Secolo Antonio Rapisarda. Speakers for the Ugo Spirito and Renzo De Felice Foundation – ETS included: the President Emeritus Gianni Scipione Rossi, the new President Andrea Ungari and the Councilor Danilo Breschi.
There was no shortage of references to Parlato's importance as a scholar and researcher of the history of the Adriatic border, which he approached with his usual scientific rigour and acute analytical ability: among his main contributions in this area we recall his participation in the drafting of the Guidelines for teaching the Adriatic border licensed by the Ministry of Education in 2022 and the Presidency of the Technical Scientific Committee that is preparing the exhibition on the Julian-Dalmatian Exodus inside the Vittoriano.
