The exhibition “A bishop for the people” is underway

The exhibition “A bishop for the people” is a tribute to Monsignor Antonio Santin 25 years after his death that the cultural association Studium Fidei wanted to create in collaboration with the Multimedia Documentation Center of Julian Istrian Fiumana and Dalmatian Culture of Trieste thanks to the contribution of the Municipality of Trieste and the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities. The exhibition itinerary is entrusted to his “testament” contained in the greeting he made to the diocese in July 1975, when the Holy Father, Paul VI, accepted his resignation. In the message, in fact,
we find all the esteem, but above all the passion, of Santin for his people that he served with dedication and generosity. This exhibition aims to tell his relationship with the city and the territory of whose troubled history he was not only a witness but above all a great protagonist in the continuous and continuous and strenuous defense of truth and justice. It is also intended to indicate his
role of “shepherd” who knew how to love and be loved in a special way.
